finding the vibe in the dog

Getting Mia on a sticker was a long time coming. there were a lot of good photos for reference but few that had a vibe of a chaotic sticker. Mia is a photogenic dog and photo stickers generally feel like mailing it in.

Mia in a raincoat seemed to be the best option but was unsure early on what the sticker would be. Used segment anything model to mask her out and then started to work up the sticker in gimp.

I started by doing a 30px border expand and fill and found that replicating over and over produced a fun psychedelic effect...

My biggest issue was not noticing that the tail was cropped until several "border" iterations in. I decided to leave it like that but I wasn't happy
